Job summary

Harbison is a charitable, community-owned organisation providing residential and non-residential care and support services. We are seeking a Transport Driver to safely transport residents, staff, and community passengers to activities and appointments, while coordinating the fleet and booking systems.

The role emphasizes safe driving, punctual outings, and excellent customer service, with responsibilities including daily vehicle checks, risk assessments, and collaboration with teams to plan

Qualifications

• Currently hold or are willing to obtain a Class LR Driver’s License with a safe driving record.
• Positive attitudes and person-centered approach.
• Strong relationship-building, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Problem-solving abilities and commitment to improvement.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience working with older people, including the frail aged, disabled, and children.
• Must hold a current NDIS Worker Check.
• Must meet NSW Working with Children Check clearance.

Responsibilities

• Safe embarkment and disembarkment of residents and children.
• Maintain the Transport Booking system and processes.
• Coordinate regular timetable of outings with teams.
• Plan and research suitable future outings, including risk assessments.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure resident safety during transport.
• Report accidents and incidents and arrange servicing.
