Job summary

Brightwater Care Group invites applications for a Therapy Assistant to join our community-based care team. You will travel to clients’ homes across central northern Perth to support functional goals in a 12-week program, under physiotherapist and occupational therapist direction.

Casual hours typically run 8am to 4:30pm. A valid WA driver’s licence, insured car, and a current First Aid/CPR certificate are essential, with Brightwater offering benefits and a long-standing history in aged care.

Qualifications

• Required Certificate III/IV in Allied Health Assistance (or progressing).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to prioritise tasks, solve problems and work safely under pressure.
• Positive, proactive and client-focused approach.
• Current First Aid certificate including CPR within 12 months.
• WA driver’s licence (essential) and a reliable insured car.
• National Police Clearance within the last year.

Responsibilities

• Support clients in a 12-week program, under supervision of physiotherapists/occupational therapists.
• Travel to clients’ homes to deliver day-to-day care and therapy activities.
• Assist with personal care tasks (showering, toileting) as required.
• Work independently within a multi-disciplinary team to meet functional goals.
