Job summary

Silver Chain is seeking an experienced Therapy Assistant for a casual role in Mandurah/Rockingham. You will support rehabilitation and therapy activities under Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, covering Rockingham to Mandurah.

Availability up to 5 days per week, 9am–3pm, Monday to Friday, with Cert 4 Allied Health Assistance (or working towards) and a valid Australian Driver’s Licence. We offer salary packaging up to $18,599, pay of $45.10–$46.95 per hour plus super, professional

Qualifications

• Current Australian Driver’s Licence
• Senior First Aid certificate desirable but not essential

Therapy Assistant - Casual

Silver Chain have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Therapy Assistant to join our growing, diverse and dynamic team in Mandurah/Rockingham on a casual basis. The role will see you undertake rehabilitation, correctional and physical activities as directed by Allied Health Professionals such as Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to meet client needs.

This community role will cover Rockingham right down to Mandurah area. We seek availability for up to 5 days per week, Monday to Friday 9am – 3pm.

Please note that you must have Cert 4 in Allied Health, or evidence of being currently registered at a Cert 4 course and working towards)

The Role

• Assist with allied health programs for clients in the home, within the scope of ability and training to meet client needs.
• Communicate with team regarding care provided to clients on an ongoing basis to ensure activities and care provided is consistent with changing client needs.
• Identify areas for ongoing training and development.
• Maintain confidentiality of information

What We’re looking for

• Cert 4 Allied Health Assistance (or working towards) as a minimum
• Demonstrated experience in aged care activities and/or speech/mobility/occupational and/or cognitive therapies.
• A current Australian Driver’s Licence.
• Current Senior First Aid Certificate desirable but not essential
• Well Developed communication, time management and organisational skills.
