Job summary

Amigo Personal Care Pty Ltd is seeking a Community Support Worker in Sydney to provide high‑quality, person‑centred supports to NDIS participants in homes and in the community. You will help individuals achieve their goals, develop independence, access services, and maintain meaningful social connections.

The role requires strong communication, compassion, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

Must have minimum 1 year of experience in community supports.
Diploma in Community Services preferred.
Strong communication with a compassionate, participant‑centred approach.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
Commitment to participant rights, dignity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

Provide person‑centred support aligned with participant goals, needs and preferences.
Support daily living skills, personal development and community participation.
Assist with shopping, transport, appointments and social engagement.
Promote independence through capacity‑building and skill development.
Advocate for participants and support informed decision‑making.
Maintain records, progress notes and reports in electronic systems.
Liaise with families, healthcare professionals and stakeholders for coordinated support.
Identify and report incidents, risks, and safeguarding concerns per NDIS.
Comply with WHS, infection control and NDIS standards.
