Job summary

RSL LifeCare is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help veterans and seniors stay safe and independent at home across NSW/ACT. You’ll provide personal care, respite support, and assist clients to stay active in their communities, following care plans and working within a caring team.

The role offers part-time contracts with hourly pay up to $38.22, salary packaging benefits, and opportunities to grow within a large social purpose organisation.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Individual Support, Aged Care or Disability.
• Experience in aged care or disability support.
• Police Check or willingness to obtain one.
• First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
• Valid driver's license and access to reliable car.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care (showering, dressing, grooming).
• Provide respite care (giving carers a break).

About the Role

As a Support Worker, you’ll help people stay safe and comfortable at home by:

To succeed in this role we'd expect you to have:

• A caring nature – genuinely passionate about helping people
• Certificate in Individual Support, Aged Care or Disability
• Good communication skills with the ability chat and listen to clients and team members
• Ability to work independently & comfortable using technology
• A valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable, insured car
• A Police Check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to get one)
• Experience in aged care or disability support
• First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to get one)
• It is a mandatory requirement for a team member working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of the role. Clearances must be verified prior to commencing employment with RSL LifeCare.
