Job summary

RSL LifeCare is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist veterans and seniors at home across ACT & NSW. You will help with personal care, provide respite support, and encourage activity within the community, following individual care plans and working closely with a team.

The role offers part-time contracts with flexible hours, salary packaging, and benefits. You’ll need a valid drivers license, Police/NDIS checks, and First Aid/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Individual Support, Aged Care or Disability.
• Experience in aged care or disability support preferred.
• Valid Police Check/NDIS check or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Help with personal care (showering, dressing, grooming).
• Provide respite care to give carers a break.

As a Support Worker, you'll help people stay safe and comfortable at home by:

• Helping with personal care (showering, dressing, grooming)
• Providing respite care (giving carers a break)
• Helping clients stay active and connected in their community
• Following care plans to meet each person's needs
• Working as a team to provide the best support possible

To succeed in this role we'd expect you to have:

• A caring nature - genuinely passionate about helping people
• Certificate in Individual Support, Aged Care or Disability
• Good communication skills with the ability chat and listen to clients and team members
• Ability to work independently & comfortable using technology
• A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable, insured car
• A Police Check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to get one)
• Experience in aged care or disability support
• First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to get one)

It is a mandatory requirement for a team member working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of the role. Clearances must be verified prior to commencing employment with RSL LifeCare.
