Job summary

Alpha Support At Home seeks engaged PCWs to support clients in their own homes, delivering personal care, household tasks and companionship. You will work within a team to enable clients to live well and independently, with rosters that suit ongoing needs.

Applicants should have a Cert III in Aged Care/Individual Support or Disability Services, be licensed and certified (First Aid, CPR, WWCC, NDIS checks), and have at least 6 months’ community PCW experience.

Qualifications

• Must have full Australian driver’s licence.
• Cert III in Aged Care/Individual Support or Disability Services.
• First Aid Certificate and CPR.
• VIC Working with Children’s Check required.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check required.
• Minimum 6 months paid PCW experience in community.
• Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
• Empathetic, patient and caring with excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care (showering, dressing).
• Household cleaning and laundry tasks.
• Meal preparation.
• Transport to appointments/shops.
• Provide respite for family.
• Assist with complex care needs.
• Deliver services with safety and compliance.

ABOUT YOU

• Full Australian Driver’s Licence
• Cert III in Aged Care/Individual Support or Disability Services
• First Aid Certificate
• CPR Practical
• Current VIC Working with Children’s Check
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Minimum 6 months paid experience working as a PCW in community setting
• Current Police Clearance (if you don’t have we will provide at no cost)
• An empathetic, patient and caring nature
• Exceptional communication skills & be able to build respectful relationships.
