Job summary

Ability Action Australia in the Tamworth region is seeking a Speech Pathologist to support participants across homes, schools and outreach settings, working close to home.

You will handle a varied, community-based caseload, supporting individuals across the lifespan with feeding, language, dysphagia and AAC, using evidence-based therapy to build communication and independence. Weekly supervision and senior guidance are provided.

Qualifications

• Current Speech Pathology Australia membership with SPA.
• Passionate about community-based support for people with disability.
• Thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
• Drivers licence, reliable vehicle and comprehensive car insurance.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied, community-based caseload across homes, schools and outreach settings.
• Work with individuals across the lifespan, including early intervention, pediatrics, adolescents and adults.
• Support a range of needs such as feeding, early language, dysphagia, communication difficulties and AAC.
• Conduct observations and standardised assessments to develop meaningful, participant-centred goals.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy that builds communication, participation and independence.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to support participant outcomes.
• Caseload will be tailored to your experience, interests and professional goals.
