Job summary

Silverchain Group in Grafton is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver in-home care to elder Australians, helping them stay safe, comfortable and independent.

This casual role with a view to permanent part-time offers autonomy in the community, with support from a caring team. You will manage wound care, catheter care, chronic disease management and medication administration in clients' homes.

Qualifications

• Degree or postgraduate qualification in nursing.
• 2+ years post-graduate, with broad experience in general nursing.
• Current Registration with the AHPRA, with zero notations.
• Australian driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide wound, stoma and bowel care.
• Catheter Care (IDC - Males & Females), SPC.
• Apply advanced clinical assessment skills for chronic disease management.
• Administer medications and injections.
• Perform an optimum standard of nursing care to our clients.
• Use clinical assessment, decision-making and problem-solving skills to provide high-quality care.

What We're Looking For

• Degree or postgraduate qualification in nursing.
• 2+ years post-graduate, with broad experience in general nursing.
• Current Registration with the AHPRA, with zero notations.
• Genuine interest in working in the community and with the aged population (experience an advantage).
• Compassion and enthusiasm, with a friendly approach.
• Strong experience in wound and catheter care, and chronic disease management.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with families and other clinicians.
• Australian driver's licence.
