Job summary

Silverchain Group in Bannockburn is seeking a caring Home Care Worker to help older clients remain in their homes with comprehensive support and dignity.

You will handle housekeeping, laundry, meals, and personal care while building strong relationships with clients and their families. CPR/First Aid training is provided, and opportunities for career development are available.

Qualifications

• 3 months or more in a similar role.
• A valid Australian Driver's Licence & your own insured, roadworthy vehicle.
• Enjoy having variety in their day.
• Can build positive relationships with clients and their families.
• Care about assisting our aged community members to live independently at home for longer.
• Are comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your manager for help.

Responsibilities

• General housekeeping and making beds.
• Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors.
• Washing, folding and ironing laundry.
• Meal preparation and grocery shopping.
• Getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed for the day.
• Assisting with mobility and therapy goals.
• Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia.
• Providing social and emotional support.
• Providing the client with transport to lifestyle activities or appointments.

We are looking for just that person with 3 months or more experience in a similar role to join the Silverchain team in the Bannockburn and surrounding areas.

The role

In the role of Home Care Worker, you will be providing our aged care clients with home help services such as:

You will also be providing our aged care clients with personal care services such as:

• Getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed for the day.

• Providing the client with transport to lifestyle activities or appointments.
• Helping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things.
