Job summary

Silverchain is seeking a Home Care Worker in Bannockburn to help older community members maintain their home and wellbeing. The role requires 3+ months of similar experience, a valid Australian driver's licence, and your own insured vehicle.

You’ll provide both home help and personal care to support independence. Offered are an award rate of $34.42 per hour plus Super and paid kilometres, plus an employee benefits program and tax‑advantaged salary packaging; CPR and First Aid courses are

Qualifications

• 3 months or more in a similar role.
• Valid Australian Driver's Licence and own insured, roadworthy vehicle.

Responsibilities

• General housekeeping and making beds.
• Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors.
• Washing, folding and ironing laundry.
• Meal preparation and grocery shopping.
• Getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed for the day.
• Assisting with mobility and therapy goals.
• Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia.
• Providing social and emotional support.
• Providing the client with transport to lifestyle activities or appointments.
• Helping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things.

The role
