Be Recruitment Group seeks a Team Leader to guide a local team delivering community services in Mount Isa. You’ll supervise staff, coordinate hub activities and help connect individuals and families with services and networks across the region.

You’ll lead outreach, build partnerships and ensure welcoming, well-organised information and support spaces while maintaining service standards and reporting requirements.

Competenze

• Experience leading, supervising or mentoring staff in community services or a related setting.
• Diploma or higher qualification in a relevant discipline, and/or equivalent community sector experience.
• Experience in community engagement, service coordination or supporting individuals and families.

About the opportunity

We’re seeking a Team Leader to guide a local team connecting individuals and families with services and community networks across Mount Isa.

Combining people leadership with community engagement, you’ll support day-to-day service delivery, build partnerships and help create a welcoming space where people can access information and support.

What you’ll be doing

• Providing day-to-day guidance, coaching and support to staff
• Coordinating community hub activities, drop-in sessions and information sessions
• Building relationships with local health, mental health, disability and community organisations

About you

You’re approachable, practical and confident bringing people together. You enjoy supporting a team while staying connected to the community and the services it needs.

You’ll bring:

• Experience leading, supervising or mentoring staff in community services or a related setting
• A Diploma or higher qualification in a relevant discipline, and/or equivalent community sector experience
• Experience in community engagement, service coordination or supporting individuals and families
• Confidence developing partnerships and representing a service at local networks
• A commitment to culturally safe and inclusive practice, including engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
• Sound judgement, professional boundaries and an understanding of risk managementStrong communication, organisation and administration skills
• A current driver licence and willingness to travel as required

Knowledge of Mount Isa and surrounding communities would be highly regarded. Experience across mental health, disability, AOD, family services or other human services settings would also be valuable.
