Job summary

Mercy Health in Geelong region is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to support clients living at home with complex nursing care. You will develop and implement care plans and collaborate with a dedicated care team to deliver high-quality home care services.

The role offers flexible hours and a supportive team environment, with opportunities to grow your experience in community nursing and aged care within Mercy Health.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• NDIS Clearance.
• First Aid Certificate including CPR.
• Driver Licence.
• Proof of current influenza vaccination.

Responsibilities

• Provide complex nursing care to help clients live independently at home.
• Develop and implement individual nursing care plans.
• Assess, review and evaluate consumer care on a regular basis.
• Supervise Enrolled Nurses and Home Care Workers as required.

About the opportunity
At Mercy Health, each moment, no matter how small, truly matters - and as a Registered Nurse, you’ll create cherished moments each day.

You will be an experienced Registered Nurse supporting our clients to live independently at home by providing complex nursing care to meet individual needs, to develop and implement nursing care plans and to assess, review and evaluate consumer care on a regular basis. You will also supervise our Enrolled Nurses and Home Care Workers as required.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in the home care and / or aged care sectors would be beneficial, but is not essential.
• Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
• A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
• The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

• Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Clearance.
• First Aid Certificate that includes CPR.
• Driver Licence.
• Proof of current influenza vaccination.
