Job summary

Mercy Health in Geelong is seeking a Registered Nurse G3 to deliver complex nursing care at home, support independence, and develop tailored care plans for each client. You will provide clinical oversight for more complex clients and for those without a case manager, and you will support the nursing team with DVA funding processes.

You will also participate in orienting new staff and sharing expertise with the team.

Qualifications

• Experience in the home care sector.
• Excellent clinical and communication skills.
• Understanding of community resources available to clients.
• Ability to problem solve and adapt to changing needs.

Responsibilities

About the opportunity

At Mercy Health, each moment, no matter how small, truly matters - and as a Registered Nurse G3, you'll create cherished moments each day.

• You will be an experienced Registered Nurse supporting our clients to live independently at home by providing complex nursing care to meet individual needs, to develop and implement nursing care plans and to assess, review and evaluate consumer care on a regular basis.
• You will provide clinical oversight and assessments for our more complex clients, and for those clients without a case manager.
• You will provide support to the nursing team regarding DVA funding streams.
• You will also provide support in the orientation of new staff.

• Previous experience in the home care sector.
• Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
• Excellent complex client problem solving skills.
• A good understanding of community resources available to clients.
• A compassionate, flexible, and positive approach to effective client care and management.
• The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

• Evidence of Nursing Registration (AHPRA).
• Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
• NDIS screening check.
