Job summary

The City of Parramatta is seeking casual Library Assistants to support a network of seven libraries, including Parramatta Library at PHIVE. You will provide friendly customer service, help run community programs, and assist staff in daily library operations.

Applicants must meet essential criteria, including a Working with Children Check, and will enjoy a supportive workplace with flexible hours across sites. Your role includes processing requests and helping patrons in person and online.

Qualifications

• Verbal communication, literacy and numeracy skills required.
• Strong customer service skills with ability to deliver memorable experiences.
• Teamwork within a customer service environment is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and build positive connections with the local community.
• Assist in delivering high quality community-focused programs.
• Support library team to ensure smooth library operations across sites.
• Collaborate with other teams to improve the library experience for patrons.
