Job summary

Mission Australia in Sydney seeks a Community Development Manager to lead initiatives that strengthen communities in Kingswood and surrounding areas. You will work with residents, partners and internal teams to drive engagement and deliver impactful programs that create positive social outcomes.

You will coach a high-performing team, manage budgets and funding opportunities, and identify community needs to maximise impact, delivering outcomes for people in need.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading community development or engagement programs.
• Strong stakeholder engagement with diverse communities.
• Demonstrated people leadership, coaching and develop teams.
• Excellent communication and facilitation across stakeholders.
• Strong project and program management, handling multiple priorities.
• Experience analyzing community needs and driving outcomes.
• Financial and budget management experience.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Community Development or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, delivery and evaluation of programs.
• Build partnerships with residents and stakeholders.
• Support tenant engagement and community capacity-building.
• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team.
• Identify community needs and opportunities to improve outcomes.
• Manage budgets, resources and funding to maximise impact.
• Monitor, analyse and report on program performance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver integrated services.
