Job summary

Stepwise Community Services, formed from the integration of Metro Assist and Community Action for Better Living, seeks an executive leader to strengthen impact measurement and policy engagement in a growing service portfolio across Greater Sydney.

You will guide strategy, translate research into actionable insights, and lead the evidence agenda to support funding submissions and stakeholder engagement. Hybrid work options are available.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership, impact, policy, research or evaluation experience in social services.
• Ability to analyse quantitative and qualitative data and translate into strategic advice.
• Policy engagement, evidence-based advocacy and government consultation experience.
• Experience supporting funding submissions and tenders using evidence and data.
• Experience with business intelligence or data visualisation tools.
• Understanding of issues affecting culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
• Qualifications in public policy, social sciences, human services, evaluation, governance or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and continuous improvement of the Stepwise Impact and Outcomes Framework.
• Translate data, research and practice insights into actionable knowledge.
• Strengthen reporting, outcomes measurement and performance frameworks.
• Oversee communications to align with advocacy priorities and impact
• Build relationships with government and sector partners to enable growth.
• Support funding submissions and tender proposals with evidence-based narratives.
