Job summary

Breakthru is seeking a Career Coach in NSW to support individuals with disability, injury or health conditions toward meaningful careers. You will guide clients through the job-readiness journey, boosting confidence, developing skills, and achieving career goals with a collaborative team.

You’ll work from first conversation to interview prep, helping clients build plans, connect with upskilling opportunities, and engage with employers to create sustainable employment outcomes.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Employment or Human Services (e.g. Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work) – desirable
• Experience in employment services and supporting people with disability, injury, or health conditions
• Proven ability to meet KPIs and create client-focused employment and skills plans
• Confident in marketing clients to employers and facilitating group programs
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Knowledge of disability legislation, support strategies, and labour market trends
• Current Driver’s License - essential

Responsibilities

• Working closely with clients as they plan their next career steps, providing support to find the right job along the way.
• Build strong relationships to understand each client's goals, strengths, and support needs.
• Provide tailored coaching and regular check-ins to maintain motivation and progress.
• Connect participants with upskilling opportunities, hands-on experience, and group-based activities.
• Collaborate with employers and community services to open pathways to employment and training.
• Meet or exceed internal and external performance benchmarks.
• Champion Breakthru's values of inclusion, empowerment, and person-centred practice.
