Job summary

Breakthru is seeking a Career Coach to support individuals with disability, injury or health conditions as they prepare for meaningful careers. You’ll guide clients through the job-readiness journey, helping them build confidence, develop skills and pursue sustainable employment.

Working with a collaborative team, you’ll empower people to take control of their future, connect with employers, and access upskilling opportunities while aligning with Breakthru’s inclusive, person-centred approach.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Employment or Human Services are desirable.
• Experience in employment services and supporting people with disability, injury, or health conditions.
• Proven ability to meet KPIs and create client-focused employment and skills plans.
• Confident in marketing clients to employers and facilitating group programs.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Current Driver’s License - essential.
• Knowledge of disability legislation, support strategies, and labour market trends.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with clients to plan their next career steps and find the right job.
• Build strong relationships to understand each client’s goals, strengths and support needs.
• Provide tailored coaching and regular check-ins to maintain motivation and progress.
• Connect participants with upskilling opportunities, hands-on experience and group activities.
• Collaborate with employers and community services to open pathways to employment and training.
• Meet or exceed internal and external performance benchmarks.
• Champion Breakthru’s values of inclusion, empowerment and person-centred practice.
