Job summary

Breakthru, operating in New South Wales, is seeking a Career Coach to support people with disability, injury or health conditions toward meaningful employment within the Inclusive Employment Australia program. You’ll guide clients from initial advice through job applications, interview prep and ongoing career development, in a collaborative, person‑centred Team.

You will build trust with clients and employers, tailor coaching plans, and help candidates gain skills, confidence and sustainable

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Employment or Human Services (e.g. Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work).
• Experience in employment services and supporting people with disability, injury, or health conditions.
• Proven ability to meet KPIs and create client‑focused employment and skills plans.
• Confident in marketing clients to employers and facilitating group programs.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Knowledge of disability legislation, support strategies, and labour market trends.
• Current Driver’s License - essential.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with clients as they plan their next career steps, providing support to find the right job along the way.
• Build strong relationships to understand each client’s goals, strengths, and support needs.
• Provide tailored coaching and regular check‑ins to maintain motivation and progress.
• Connect participants with upskilling opportunities, hands‑on experience, and group‑based activities.
• Collaborate with employers and community services to open pathways to employment and training.
• Meet or exceed internal and external performance benchmarks.
• Champion Breakthru’s values of inclusion, empowerment, and person‑centred practice.
