Job summary

Sutherland Shire Council is seeking a Community Engagement Advisor to lead strategic engagement across the organisation and inform council decision‑making. You will develop and implement engagement plans, use diverse methods to connect with diverse communities, and ensure all voices are heard throughout initiatives.

This is a temporary full-time role with a strong wellbeing package and 12% superannuation. Experience in local government and using branded templates in contemporary design programs

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Engagement, or related discipline.
• Significant experience in developing and implementing community engagement plans.
• Strong understanding of community engagement methodologies and their application.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of strategic community engagement plans.
• Utilise diverse engagement methodologies to build connections and trust within the community.
• Ensure that various voices are heard and valued in Council initiatives.
