Sutherland Shire Council is seeking an Engagement Officer to join our Community Engagement team in Sydney. You will drive and implement engagement plans across multiple channels and build strong relationships with residents and internal teams.

The role focuses on delivering inclusive engagement opportunities, guiding project teams and communications colleagues to ensure decisions reflect community voices. A background in engagement and excellent coordination is essential.

Qualifications

• Background in community and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience coordinating and supporting engagement activities.
• Ability to build trusted relationships across internal teams and the community.
• Adept at managing multiple projects with diverse stakeholders.

• Plan and execute effective community engagement plans across various channels
• Provide advice and support on community engagement across Council
• Contribute to the development of best practise engagement approaches
