Job summary

Sutherland Shire Council is seeking an Engagement Officer to join our Community Engagement team. You will collaborate across project teams, communications colleagues and frontline staff to facilitate meaningful engagement and ensure council decisions reflect local voices.

The role requires tertiary qualifications in Communications or a related discipline, NSW Driver's Licence, and a track record in coordinating diverse engagement activities with attention to detail and strong

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate has a background in community and stakeholder engagement with plan development.
• Experience coordinating and supporting engagement activities across teams and community.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with internal teams and the community.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and diverse stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute engagement plans across channels.
• Provide advice and support on community engagement across Council.
• Develop best practise engagement approaches.
