Job summary

Sutherland Shire Council is seeking an Engagement Officer to join our Community Engagement team. You will help deliver inclusive engagement opportunities and ensure Council decisions reflect residents' voices.

You will work with project teams, communications colleagues, and community staff to coordinate engagement that is practical, inclusive and well-organised. The role requires a background in community engagement, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects while

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Communications or Engagement.
• Current NSW Drivers Licence.
• Proven experience in community engagement roles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Strong organisational abilities to manage competing priorities and deliver results.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute engagement plans across multiple channels.
• Provide advice and support on engagement across Council.
• Contribute to development of best practice engagement approaches.
• Support management of risks associated with engagement activities.
