Job summary

Sutherland Shire Council is seeking an Engagement Officer to join our Community Engagement team, driving informed and engaged communities. You will collaborate with project teams, communications colleagues and front-facing staff to support practical, inclusive engagement initiatives.

You will play a key role in planning, executing and improving engagement plans across channels, while providing guidance on engagement strategies and managing risks associated with activities.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating and supporting engagement activities.
• Ability to build trusted relationships across internal teams and the community.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute effective community engagement plans across various channels.
• Provide advice and support on community engagement across Council.
• Contribute to the development of best practise engagement approaches.
