Job summary

Western Sydney International Airport is seeking a Community Engagement Advisor for a 6-month contract to support operational readiness and community engagement programs at Luddenham, NSW. Reporting to the Executive Manager – Community, you will coordinate consultations, handle enquiries, deliver communications, and build relationships with residents and stakeholders while upholding safety and compliance.

Willingness to undertake occasional out-of-hours and weekend work is required; IAP2

Qualifications

• 3-4 years' experience in community engagement, stakeholder relations, or corporate affairs.
• Experience in infrastructure, construction, or major projects preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate complex information into clear messaging.
• Current NSW Driver Licence; willingness to undertake occasional out-of-hours and weekend work.
• IAP2 accreditation is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of community and stakeholder engagement programs.
• Coordinate community consultation activities across construction and operational phases.
• Manage community enquiries and complaints; ensure timely resolution and continuous improvement.
• Deliver community engagement campaigns and communications to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, businesses, community groups and other stakeholders.
• Represent community interests by collaborating with internal teams and contributing to decisions.
• Identify engagement risks and opportunities to support project outcomes.
• Support implementation of Corporate Affairs and Community Engagement strategies and initiatives.
• Champion safety, compliance, and best-practice engagement across all interactions.
• Contribute to a collaborative, agile team environment and support ad hoc projects.
