Job summary

Brisbane City Council seeks a Community Engagement Officer to shape council projects by advocating for good community outcomes and informing and engaging the community throughout planning and delivery. You will build trusted relationships with project teams, stakeholders and residents, identifying engagement risks and opportunities to support informed decisions.

You will work with internal and external partners, contributing to reporting, evaluation, and continuous improvement of engagement

Qualifications

• Experience developing engagement strategies and plans (online and in person).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Project management skills including deadlines and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and evaluate engagement activities across projects.
• Act as first point of contact for project teams and the community.
• Identify risks and opportunities and inform decision-making.
• Collaborate with partners and contribute to reporting and evaluation.
