Job summary

Breakthru, as part of the Royal Rehab Group, seeks a casual team member to join our Cairns team, with open availability to support individuals in the community. You will assist with shopping, appointments, activities, meals, and in-home supports across homes, workplaces, and neighbourhoods.

Immediate start, with a focus on person-centered care, collaboration with clients, and flexible scheduling to meet client needs in the disability sector.

Qualifications

• Criminal record check (essential or willing to obtain)
• Working with children’s check (essential or willing to obtain)
• NDIS workers screening clearance (essential or willing to obtain)

Responsibilities

• Accessing the community for shopping, appointments and day-to-day activities
• Participation in a range of scheduled activities such as cooking, art, outdoor physical activities and excursions
• Engagement in social events
• Transportation assistance where required
• Meal preparation and other simple in-home supports

About The Role…
