Royal Rehab’s Breakthru team in Cairns is seeking a casual Community Disability Support Worker to assist individuals in the community with daily living, recreation, transport, and in-home supports. The role emphasizes promoting independence, dignity, and choice in real-world settings.

Responsibilities

• Accessing the community for shopping, appointments and day-to-day activities
• Participation in a range of scheduled activities such as cooking, art, outdoor physical activities and excursions
• Engagement in social events
• Transportation assistance where required
• Meal preparation and other simple in-home supports
• Promoting independence, dignity, and choice in a safe, structured environment

About the role

We’re seeking a casual team member on our wonderful Cairns team, someone who has open availability. With flexibility to adapt to the needs of the individuals we support.
