Job summary

Advantage Healthcare Support is seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker to provide person-centred care to a participant with complex needs in Nelson Bay, NSW. The role focuses on maintaining independence, wellbeing, and quality of life while supporting daily living, transport and social activities.

Ideal candidates will hold a driver’s licence with own vehicle, valid First Aid/CPR, WWCC and NDIS Worker Screening.

Qualifications

• NDIS Worker Screening Check completed.
• WWCC (Working with Children Check) current.
• First Aid & CPR certificates valid.
• Full Australian driver’s licence and own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred support to NDIS clients.
• Assist with daily living, personal care, and domestic tasks.
• Support clients with transport and community access.
• Plan and accompany clients on outings and activities.
• Work across weekdays, weekends and public holidays with on-call flexibility.
• Perform Disability Support Worker and AIN duties as required.

Advantage Healthcare Support (AHS) is seeking an experienced and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team.

We are looking for a dedicated professional who can provide person-centred support to a participant with complex needs, helping maintain independence, wellbeing, and quality of life.

This opportunity is ideal for support workers seeking extra shifts to complement their existing schedule.

Essential Requirements

• Must be open to accepting 2-hour services.
• Must be available across weekdays and weekends.
• Full Australian driver’s licence and own vehicle.
• Comprehensive car insurance.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Valid First Aid & CPR certificates.
• Working with Children Check (WWCC).

What We’re Looking For

• Fluent English speaker with excellent communication skills.
• Experience with manual handling, high-care support, and challenging behaviours.
• Prior experience as a Disability Support Worker or AIN.
• Initiative to support clients in achieving their goals and building community connections.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Provide high-quality, person-centred support to NDIS clients.

• Support clients attending appointments and engaging in social activities.
• Plan and accompany clients on outings and activities.
