Job summary

Singleton Council in New South Wales is seeking a Community Development Specialist to design, implement and evaluate initiatives that strengthen our community and wellbeing across the Singleton LGA.

You will work collaboratively with residents, community organisations, government agencies and service providers to identify local priorities, build strong partnerships and deliver initiatives that foster inclusion and participation within the community.

Qualifications

• A degree qualification in Community Development, Community Services, Social Sciences or a related discipline.
• Experience delivering community development and capacity-building initiatives.
• Knowledge of contemporary community development practices and place-based approaches.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and partnership-building skills.
• Experience coordinating grant funding and compliant reporting.
• Current Class C Driver Licence and Working With Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and evaluate community initiatives to strengthen wellbeing across the Singleton LGA.
• Collaborate with residents, community organisations and agencies to identify priorities and build partnerships.
• Lead planning, delivery and review of Council's community strategies and action plans.
