Job summary

Community Housing Limited – South Kempsey NSW is seeking a Community Connector who will work with tenants, volunteers and partner organisations to plan, deliver and evaluate group activities that improve health, wellbeing and social inclusion. This hands-on role combines program delivery, volunteer coordination and strong communication, with a focus on inclusive, safe and connected communities.

• Able to work independently and manage priorities.
• Inclusive, culturally respectful practice.
• Basic awareness of WHS and safe work practices.
• Police Check + Working With Children Check required.
• Qualification in community services or related field.

What you’ll be doing

The Community Connector role is a community-focused position that supports local programs aimed at improving health, wellbeing, social inclusion, and community capacity building within social housing communities. The role involves working directly with tenants, volunteers, and partner organisations to plan, coordinate, and deliver group-based activities that respond to local needs. It also includes supporting volunteers, helping with basic administration and reporting, and contributing to program evaluation and continuous improvement. Overall, it’s a hands‑on community engagement role that combines program delivery, volunteer coordination, and strong communication, with a focus on creating inclusive, safe, and connected communities.
