Job summary

HammondCare is seeking casual Social Club Care Workers to join our teams at the River Oak Social Club in Green Point and the Melaleuca Social Club in Wyong. You will provide care, supervision, and companionship to clients in social club settings, following individual care plans.

No formal qualification is required, but Certificate III in Individual Support is highly regarded. Availability Monday to Friday 8am–4pm, WWCC clearance, and good communication and computer skills are valued.

• Strong communication skills are required to convey changes in care and document accordingly.
• A collaborative, team-oriented approach is important.
• Good administrative and computer literacy skills, including smartphone use, are valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and supervision in Social Club settings according to each client's care plan.

• Possibly accompany clients offsite and drive a 12-Seater Bus if available.

Social Club Care Worker - what's involved in the role?

• Our Care Workers provide care in the Social Club that offers socialisation and supervision, according to each client's care plan
• The Social Club provides organised activities and events for Clients to enjoy, including social outings and excursions for Aged Care Clients
• In some cases, you'll have an opportunity to go offsite and provide care and supervision for our clients, and this would mean having the capacity to drive a 12-Seater Bus (if available)

What do you need to apply?

• Availability to work between Monday to Fridays 8am-4pm
• No formal qualification is necessary; however, Certificate III Individual Support is highly regarded
• Must hold a current Working with Children Check clearance or willing to obtain one
• First Aid certificate is desirable
• Empathy and compassion are a must-have. We can train you how to do the job, as long as you have the willingness and desire to do so.
• Good administrative skills and computer literacy skills, including the usage of a smartphone
• A strong team player, confident communication skills specifically to able to communicate changes in care, completion of all documentation, while maintaining the confidentiality
