Job summary

Nixil Pty is seeking an experienced HF systems engineer to provide technical leadership across engineering design, integration, assurance and delivery of an enhanced capability for Defence programs in Australia.

You will lead HF system design analyses, review documents, develop design reports and support verification, validation and risk management, while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams and with external vendors to ensure compliance and governance.

Qualifications

• Extensive HF engineering expertise across system design, analysis and performance evaluation.
• Knowledge of and experience with the One Defence Capability System (ODCS) and the ASDEFCON suite.
• Leadership or management experience coaching teams through strategy and change.
• Strong communication skills with Defence stakeholders, project teams and external vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead HF system design analysis and performance evaluation.

• Work across project disciplines, facilitate engineering workshops and ensure processes and documentation comply with the IC3SPO Quality Management System.

What you'll bring

• Tertiary qualifications in Communications Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Chartered Professional Engineer status with a recognised professional engineering body, such as Engineers Australia, or the ability to attain it.
• Knowledge of and experience with the One Defence Capability System (ODCS) and the ASDEFCON suite.
• Leadership or management experience, including the ability to coach teams through strategy and change.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with Defence stakeholders, project teams and external vendors.

Experience delivering Defence or CASG capability projects will be highly regarded, as will knowledge of Defence policy and legislation, capability delivery requirements, and working in multidisciplinary technical teams.
