Qualifications

• Current Driver's License is required.
• Construction White Card is mandatory.
• Willing to work on an on-call roster, including planned night works.
• MR/HR Truck License and EWP certs are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and decommission telecommunications networks across fibre, HFC and civil infrastructure.
• Work across multiple project types and clients including major carriers and utilities.
• Interpret construction plans, diagrams, and work packs.
• Perform installation, hauling, and placement of cables in pits, ducts, and aerial environments.
• Complete pre-start checks and maintain plant and equipment.
• Participate in site safety initiatives and toolbox talks.
• Complete job documentation and work order updates.
• Work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders.

About the Role

As a Communications Assistant, you’ll play a key role in building, maintaining, and supporting telecommunications networks across multiple major clients, including carrier and utility infrastructure.

Working as part of a crew (and occasionally independently), you’ll contribute to delivering high-quality outcomes across a variety of field‑based projects involving fibre, HFC, civil, and network infrastructure.

Essential:

• EWP >13m or similar certifications
• Experience working on carrier networks
