Job summary

The EQ Hotel Management Pty Ltd is opening Sky Lounge in Perth, WA, and seeks a Commis Chef to join the founding kitchen team. This full-time role supports the Sous Chef and Chef de Partie in food prep, cooking and presentation for daily service.

You will learn and grow in a premium dining environment, with a hands-on position suited to developing chefs who are passionate about quality food and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Commis Chef in a busy kitchen.
• Commercial cookery qualifications required.
• Be part of Sky Lounge pre-opening from day one.

Responsibilities

• Support pre-opening kitchen setup, training, tastings and service trials.
• Assist with food preparation, cooking and plating to recipes and standards.
• Prepare mise en place for allocated section and keep it stocked.
• Support Sous Chef and Chef de Partie during busy periods.
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation and safe storage in kitchen areas.
• Assist with stock rotation and basic inventory tasks.
