Hamilton Island Enterprises – Hamilton Island QLD is home to Beach Club, an adults-only boutique resort with a contemporary Australian menu. We are seeking a qualified Commis Chef to join Beach Club Restaurant and develop skills in a premium boutique hotel kitchen.

You will work hands-on across preparation and service, gain experience with premium seafood and native Australian ingredients, and learn from an experienced culinary team while refining modern cooking and plating techniques.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (Essential)
• Previous experience in a commercial à la carte restaurant kitchen
• Experience with Modern Australian or contemporary cuisine highly regarded

Responsibilities

• You’ll work hands-on across preparation and service, supporting your section and senior chefs to deliver Beach Club's contemporary Australian menu consistently to a high standard.
• You’ll gain experience preparing premium seafood and proteins, seasonal produce and native Australian ingredients while developing your modern cooking and plating techniques.
• You’ll also build the organisation, consistency and attention to detail required to succeed in a premium à la carte kitchen.
