Sofitel Melbourne on Collins, a luxury hotel in the heart of Melbourne city centre, seeks a passionate Commis chef who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen and takes pride in delivering high culinary standards. You’ll join a team delivering refined French dining in a vibrant setting.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified with at least 1 year in a commercial kitchen.
• Experience in restaurant or hotel environment is an advantage.
• Demonstrate creativity and flair in menu and design.
• Be available for rotating rosters including early starts.

Responsabilités

• Run your section with confidence, efficiency and consistency.
• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes to brand standards.
• Support smooth service with strong organisation and urgency.
• Monitor stock, minimise waste and maintain cost awareness.
• Mentor apprentices and juniors in the kitchen.
• Collaborate across kitchen sections to deliver great guest experiences.
• Maintain impeccable food safety and kitchen hygiene.
