Job summary

RAC Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort in WA is seeking a casual Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. You will prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes across our outlets and support daily kitchen operations.

We require a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, hospitality experience, and a strong focus on food safety. A police clearance and flexibility to work weekends and public holidays are essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (essential).
• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or hospitality environment.
• Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen operations.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced chefs.
• Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced team.
• National Police Clearance required.
• Flexible across a 7-day rotating roster including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes across our outlets.
• Assist with mise en place and daily kitchen operations.
• Ensure food is prepared to high quality and consistency.
• Maintain food hygiene, WHS and kitchen safety standards.
• Complete opening/closing and cleaning duties for kitchen efficiency.
• Assist with receiving, storing and rotating food supplies.
• Collaborate with Front of House for smooth service.
• Provide friendly, professional service addressing guest requests.

We’re looking for passionate and motivated Commis Chefs to join our talented kitchen team on a casual basis and help deliver exceptional dining experiences across our resort's food and beverage outlets.

Your day-to-day impact

• Prepare, cook and present a variety of high-quality dishes across our food outlets.
• Assist with food preparation, mise en place, and daily kitchen operations.
• Ensure food is prepared and presented to the highest quality and consistency.
• Maintain exceptional food hygiene, WHS and kitchen safety standards.
• Complete opening, closing and cleaning duties to keep the kitchen operating efficiently.
• Assist with receiving, storing and rotating food supplies.
• Work collaboratively with the Front of House team to ensure smooth service.
• Deliver friendly, professional service while responding to guest requests.
