Job summary

Hilton Surfers Paradise is seeking casual and full-time Commis Chefs to join our kitchen team. You will apply creativity and passion for food while contributing to high standards and guest satisfaction.

The BEST Team Member Travel Program offers highly discounted rates on hotel rooms for our Team Members. In this role you will work with the kitchen team, maintain a clean workstation, minimise food waste, assist with prep, and ensure proper handling and storage of all ingredients.

Qualifications

• Apprentice/Commis Chef experience is required.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Excellent planning, organizing and time management.

What will you be doing?

Hilton Surfers Paradise are searching for casual and full time Commis Chefs to join our team! In your new role as Commis Chef, you will utilise your creative flair and passion for food and will be responsible for performing the following tasks;

• Working effectively within the Kitchen team to ensure high food standards and the delivery of an exceptional guest experience
• Managing and maintaining a clean working environment
• Ensuring the reduction of food wastage
• Assisting the team with general food preparation
• Ensuring correct handling and storage of all food products

Qualifications

What are we looking for?

• Previous Apprentice chef or Commis Chef experience
• Confident communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences
• Excellent planning, organising and time management skills
