Job summary

Allied World is seeking an experienced underwriter to manage interactions with intermediaries and clients, provide expert guidance, and underwrite broad commercial property risks in the Australian market. The role involves technical risk analysis, policy scheduling, and ongoing lifecycle servicing, with emphasis on building strong broker and client relationships.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in SME Package or technical lines, strong English communication, and advanced MS Office skills, ready

Qualifications

2+ years SME Package trading or technical lines insurance experience.
Strong understanding of natcat/weather peril risks.
Existing broker/client relationships, or ability to develop them quickly.
Highly articulate with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Manage customer interactions with intermediaries and end customers to deliver high standards of responsiveness and satisfaction.
Provide expert advice, coaching internally to staff and externally to brokers/clients; raise standards across the technical community.
Underwrite a broad variety of commercial property risks, including commercial package risks.
Perform underwriting submission reviews, account research, pricing analysis, and terms/conditions preparation for client meetings.
