Job summary

We are actively seeking experienced Commercial Refrigeration Technicians from Australia and around the world for long-term positions with reputable Australian employers.

Our clients are looking specifically for technicians with strong commercial refrigeration experience, particularly within supermarkets, hospitality, food service and commercial refrigeration environments.

This is not an air-conditioning focused role. Candidates whose experience is predominantly residential or commercial air conditioning may not be suitable.

The Role

As a Commercial Refrigeration Technician, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, fault-finding and repair of commercial refrigeration equipment and systems.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked with refrigeration systems used within supermarkets, hotels, restaurants, commercial kitchens, food service businesses and other large-scale commercial environments.

Key Duties Include:

• Service, maintain and repair commercial refrigeration systems
• Diagnose complex refrigeration faults and complete repairs efficiently
• Work on supermarket and hospitality refrigeration equipment
• Maintain cool rooms, freezer rooms, display cabinets, refrigerated cases and associated equipment
• Undertake preventative and scheduled maintenance
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics and documentation
• Provide high-quality service to commercial clients
• Comply with workplace health and safety requirements
• Mentor apprentices and junior technicians where applicable

Key Requirements

• Trade qualification in Refrigeration / Air-conditioning and Refrigeration
• Strong commercial refrigeration experience is essential
• Previous experience with supermarket refrigeration and/or hospitality refrigeration is highly regarded
• Strong refrigeration fault-finding, diagnostics, service and repair skills
• Experience working independently in service environments
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Commitment to safe, high-quality workmanship
• Willingness to relocate within Australia where required
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing

Please note: We are specifically recruiting commercial refrigeration technicians. Candidates whose experience is primarily air conditioning installation, split systems or residential HVAC are unlikely to be suitable for these positions.

A positive skills assessment / OTSR issued by Trades Recognition Australia (TRA) is highly desirable for international applicants. Please indicate in your application if you already hold an OTSR or are currently completing the assessment process.
