Job summary

Air Control in Brisbane and Gold Coast is seeking an experienced Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technician. The role covers installation, service, maintenance, fault finding and commissioning across commercial, government and light commercial sites.

If you are trade-qualified with Certificate III and live in the Logan, Gold Coast, Redlands or Ipswich region, you will join a supportive team, receive a company vehicle and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration.
• Current Queensland Driver's Licence.
• Current First Aid and CPR/LVR certifications.
• Sound understanding of WHS/OHS requirements.
• Strong trade knowledge and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Installation of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
• Servicing, preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Fault finding, diagnostics and breakdown response.
• Commissioning and testing of new equipment.
• Working across commercial, government and light commercial sites.
• Completing service reports and other required documentation.
• Maintaining a high standard of safety, cleanliness and workmanship.
• Communicating professionally with customers and site contacts.
• Working independently as well as as part of a team.

The Company

Air Control is a Brisbane and Gold Coast-based company specialising in commercial, light commercial and Queensland Government projects.

We provide a complete range of air conditioning services, including installation, maintenance, repairs and mechanical electrical.

Due to continued growth and an increased workload, we are looking for an experienced Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technician to join our team.

This is a varied role suited to an experienced trade-qualified technician with a background in installation, service, maintenance or a combination of these areas.

The Role

Depending on your experience and skill set, your day-to-day work may include:

Installation of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment

Servicing, preventative maintenance and repairs

Fault finding, diagnostics and breakdown response

Commissioning and testing of new equipment

Working on split systems, ducted systems, VRF, package units and commercial equipment

Basic electrical and controls-related work

Working across commercial, government and light commercial sites

Completing service reports, job sheets and other required documentation

Maintaining a high standard of safety, cleanliness and workmanship

Communicating professionally with customers, clients and site contacts

Working independently as well as as part of a team

We are interested in speaking with technicians who have strong practical experience and take pride in delivering quality work, whether your background is primarily service, installation or both.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:
