Job summary

Jetstar Airways is seeking a Commercial Manager, Travel & Serve based at our Docklands office in Melbourne. You’ll shape the post-booking commercial strategy across the customer journey, balancing growth with customer experience and technology investment.

You’ll work with senior leaders across Commercial, Digital, Technology and Operations to translate strategy into measurable commercial outcomes, prioritise opportunities and influence investment decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience across commercial, digital retail, customer experience, service operations, ancillary or related environments.
• Strong commercial and analytical capability, including financial modelling and business case development.
• Identify and size commercial opportunities and translate complex analysis into clear commercial recommendations.
• Balance revenue opportunities with customer, operational, cost and longer-term capability considerations.
• Establishing new planning processes and ways of working, including prioritising and sequencing competing opportunities.

As Commercial Manager, Travel & Serve, you’ll help shape how Jetstar creates greater commercial value across the post-booking customer journey. You’ll help drive the overall strategy for this commercial domain, identify and size opportunities, understand dependencies, and provide the commercial insights that help influence investment decisions.

Working across areas including customer engagement, ancillary retailing, self-service, airports and inflight experience, you’ll balance commercial opportunity with operational realities and longer-term priorities to support better planning and investment decisions.

We’re searching for someone who

• Brings 5+ years’ experience across commercial, digital retail, customer experience, service operations, ancillary or related environments.
• Has strong commercial and analytical capability, including financial modelling and business case development.
• Can identify and size commercial opportunities and translate complex analysis into clear commercial recommendations.
• Understands how to balance revenue opportunities with customer, operational, cost and longer-term capability considerations.
• Is comfortable establishing new planning processes and ways of working, including prioritising and sequencing competing commercial opportunities.
• Builds strong relationships and can influence senior stakeholders without direct authority.
• Is collaborative, resilient and comfortable navigating ambiguity and change.
• Ideally brings aviation, travel or retail experience, particularly exposure to complex operational environments.
