Job summary

Jetstar is seeking a Commercial Manager, Consider & Book, to shape commercial priorities across the shopping and booking journey from its Docklands, Melbourne office. This permanent, full-time role focuses on turning strategies into measurable customer and commercial results and guiding investments and roadmaps.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years’ experience in commercial, strategy, pricing or revenue management, with strong analytical and stakeholder-alignment skills, and the ability to operate in

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience across commercial, strategy, pricing, revenue management, digital retail, ancillary or distribution environments.
• Strong strategic, commercial and analytical capability, including business case development and financial modelling.
• Identify and size opportunities and translate multiple strategies into a coherent commercial view and longer term plan.
• Experience prioritising competing opportunities and balancing near-term value with longer-term strategic capability.
• Comfortable establishing new planning frameworks, processes and ways of working.
• Influence and build alignment across senior stakeholders without direct authority.
• Comfortable working through ambiguity and change with a collaborative approach.

As Commercial Manager, Consider & Book, you’ll play a key role in shaping commercial priorities across Jetstar’s shopping and booking journey. You’ll help drive the overall strategy for this commercial domain, identify and size new opportunities, bring together existing commercial priorities, understand dependencies and provide the insights that help influence investment and roadmap decisions.

With a strategic, future-focused lens, you’ll balance near-term commercial value with longer-term capability and Jetstar’s evolution towards modern retailing, helping turn commercial opportunities into clear, actionable plans.

We’re searching for someone who:

• Brings 5+ years’ experience across commercial, strategy, pricing, revenue management, digital retail, ancillary or distribution environments.
• Has strong strategic, commercial and analytical capability, including business case development and financial modelling, with the ability to translate complex information into clear recommendations.
• Can identify and size opportunities and turn multiple strategies and initiatives into a coherent commercial view and longer term plan.
• Has experience prioritising competing opportunities and balancing near-term value with longer-term strategic capability.
• Is comfortable establishing new planning frameworks, processes and ways of working.
• Can influence and build alignment across senior stakeholders without direct authority.
• Is comfortable working through ambiguity and change, with a collaborative and constructive approach.
• Ideally brings aviation or travel experience, although broader commercial or strategy experience is highly relevant.
