Job summary

Salus Recruitment is partnering with an established medical device business to appoint a Commercial Manager in Australia. The role combines commercial, supply chain, forecasting, tender and operations to drive growth across Australia, NZ, and international markets, including the UK.

You will own demand forecasting, inventory management and tender activity, supporting the sales team with accurate availability and cost data while ensuring regulatory controls.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical consumables supply chains.
• Proven ability to forecast demand and manage inventory.
• Experience with tenders and contracts for hospitals (AU and international).
• Strong commercial and financial literacy including margins and landed costs.
• ERP experience and ability to turn data into actions.

Responsibilities

• Own demand forecasting and supply planning with sales and offshore manufacturing.
• Manage inventory, stock availability, backorders, and supply risks.
• Coordinate procurement, warehousing, logistics and customer service.
• Lead tender submissions and renewals for hospital and international opportunities.
• Manage tender and contract calendar; ensure operational feasibility.
• Review landed costs, margins, and supply risks before commitments.
• Manage budgets and identify opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.
• Support new product introductions and expansion into new markets.
• Provide sales with accurate availability, cost, and delivery feasibility.
• Maintain controls and documentation in a regulated medical device environment.
• Lead and develop operational/customer service teams across locations.
