Job description

We are currently recruiting for a global consumer goods business with a portfolio of well‑known premium brands sold right across Asia Pacific. With the APAC business continuing to grow, they're looking for a Commercial Analyst to join their Commercial Finance team and work closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance across the region.

This role suits someone who enjoys getting into the numbers but is more interested in what they mean for the business. You'll be the person the commercial team leans on to understand where growth and margin are really coming from, and what should be done about it.

About the Role:

Reporting into the Commercial Finance Manager, the key responsibilities include:

  • Analysing performance by brand, channel and customer to understand what's driving revenue, gross profit and mix, and making recommendations based on it
  • Reviewing trade spend, promotions, discounting, POS and local marketing funds to see how they're landing on volume and profitability
  • Working with Marketing on AMP spend to get the right balance between working and non‑working dollars
  • Supporting pricing decisions, including the CPI process, competitor responses, distribution and rate of sale trends
  • Helping with budget, forecast and long‑range planning, along with monthly and quarterly reviews that call out the key risks and opportunities
  • Building business cases for new business opportunities and tracking how commercial initiatives are performing
  • Improving the reporting, tools and processes the team uses daily
About You:

To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or similar
  • Around 2 to 3 years in commercial finance, FP&A, revenue management or analytics
  • Experience across APAC markets or consumer goods organisations is highly advantageous
  • Strong Excel skills and hands‑on experience with Power BI, Tableau or similar
Why Apply:

You’ll get genuine exposure across the region and work closely with senior commercial stakeholders in a business with big growth plans, where your analysis is actually used to make decisions.
