Job summary

CBC Fremantle, a Catholic school in the Edmund Rice tradition for boys in Years 7-12, seeks a College Counsellor to support social, emotional and mental health wellbeing.

Working within the Pastoral Care and Wellbeing framework, the Counsellor provides confidential, evidence-informed counselling and early intervention, strengthening students' resilience and relationships while coordinating with College Psychologists and families to ensure timely support.

Qualifications

• Professional, confidential and evidence-informed counselling for students.
• Early intervention and wellbeing support for students experiencing personal, social, emotional, behavioural, family or school-related challenges.
• Collaborates with College Psychologists, Heads of House, Deputy Principal – Pastoral Care, families and external professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide counselling and wellbeing support within the Pastoral Care and Wellbeing framework.
• Strengthen students' resilience, emotional regulation and self-awareness.
• Work closely with the pastoral care team to ensure timely and coordinated support.
