Job summary

Victory Lutheran College is seeking a dedicated Wellbeing Counsellor to join the Secondary Wellbeing team for Term 1, 2027. The role focuses on confidential counselling for students, staff, and families, promoting emotional health and resilience within a Lutheran school community.

The successful candidate will have relevant counselling qualifications and experience, ideally in a school setting, and must hold a Victorian Working with Children Check, with willingness to obtain a National Police

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in counselling or a related field.
• Demonstrated counselling experience; school environment highly regarded.
• Current Victorian Working with Children Check required
• Willingness to undertake National Police Check
• First Aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis qualifications (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and confidential counselling to secondary students (and staff/families where appropriate).
• Promote emotional health and wellbeing within the school community.
• Support students to develop resilience and coping skills.
• Collaborate with the Wellbeing team and broader College staff.
• Uphold confidentiality and professional standards at all times.
