InvoCare Rhodes, NSW is seeking a skilled Collections Officer to join our Finance team and manage a diverse Accounts Receivable portfolio. You will own the collections process, maintain customer relationships, and help optimise cash flow in a professional and compliant manner.

The role requires a minimum of five years in collections or AR with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and experience with ERP systems such as Oracle. This is a full-time on-site position based in Rhodes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Collections, Credit Control or Accounts Receivable.
  • Strong knowledge of debt collection processes and AR reconciliations.
  • Familiarity with ACCC Debt Collection Guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of outstanding accounts and achieve collection targets.
  • Follow up overdue accounts with proactive communication and payment resolution.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and allocate incoming payments.
  • Generate statements and invoices.
  • Handle customer queries and service tickets.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders across multiple business divisions.
  • Maintain accurate collection records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and ACCC debt collection guidelines.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Accounts Receivable function.

We're currently seeking an experienced Collections Officer to join our Finance team in Rhodes and take ownership of a diverse Accounts Receivable portfolio.

About the Role

Reporting to the Invoice to Collect Manager, you'll manage an assigned ledger and play a critical role in maintaining healthy cash flow across our business. This is a hands-on role that blends collections expertise, stakeholder management, and customer service.

You will:

  • Manage a portfolio of outstanding accounts and achieve collection targets

About You

We're looking for a confident and professional collections specialist who can balance commercial outcomes with outstanding customer service.

To be successful, you'll bring:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Collections, Credit Control or Accounts Receivable
  • Strong understanding of:

  • Accounts Receivable
  • Account reconciliations
  • Payment allocation
  • Knowledge of ACCC Debt Collection Guidelines
  • Strong communication skills and confidence handling sensitive conversations
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Outlook skills
  • Experience with accounting or ERP systems (Oracle experience highly regarded)
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
